Posso reutilizar os SmartPegs?
Os SmartPegs são itens de uso único. Para evitar danos ao implante, o material SmartPeg é bastante macio, o que limita a vida útil de suas roscas. Portanto, o SmartPeg não pode ser reutilizado por dois motivos: Primeiro, o ímã não suporta o calor de uma autoclave, ele ficará afetado e perderá a cor. Em segundo lugar, as roscas são enfraquecidas para não prejudicar as roscas internas do implante. Reutilizar o SmartPeg pode desgastar as roscas e fornecer valores ISQ duvidosos.
O valor ISQ é sensível à força de aperto do SmartPeg?
O SmartPeg deve ser apertado com 4-5 Ncm, o que significa “aperto com os dedos”, usando o montador do SmartPeg. Basta um contato firme entre o SmartPeg e o implante. A diferença no valor ISQ ficará no máximo dentro de 2 unidades ISQ. (Se o SmartPeg for apertado com muita folga, o valor ISQ será menor. Se o SmartPeg for apertado demais, há o risco de as roscas do SmartPeg serem danificadas.)
