¿Puedo reutilizar los SmartPeg?

Los SmartPegs son artículos de un solo uso. Para evitar dañar el implante, el material del SmartPeg es bastante blando, lo que limita la vida útil de las roscas. Entonces, el SmartPeg no puede reutilizarse por dos motivos: En primer lugar, el imán no soporta el calor de un autoclave, se verá afectado y manchado. En segundo lugar, las roscas se fabrican débiles para no poner en peligro las roscas internas del implante. La reutilización del SmartPeg podría desgastar las roscas y producir valores ISQ confusos.

¿El valor ISQ es sensible al nivel de ajuste del SmartPeg?

El SmartPeg debe ajustarse con 4-5 Ncm; es decir, “ajuste manual”, utilizando el SmartPeg Mount. Eso es suficiente para producir un contacto firma entre el SmartPeg y el implante. La diferencia en el valor ISQ se mantendrá entonces dentro de 2 unidades ISQ. (Si el SmartPeg no se ajusta lo suficiente, el valor ISQ será más bajo.) Si el SmartPeg se ajusta demasiado, existe el riesgo de que se dañen las roscas del SmartPeg.
