How Osstell can be used for everyday clinical decisions concerning dental implants
Highlight from Dr. Paul Rosen's lecture held at the Osstell Scientific Forum at EAO in Glasgow, 2010
The use of Osstell for everyday clinical decision making with dental implants
Dr. Rosen speaks about how Osstell can be used for everyday clinical decisions concerning dental implants. He provides examples of the importance of re-measuring – that is, taking a new ISQ reading after the initial procedure – before final restoration to avoid unnecessary failures and costs. Dr. Rosen also stresses a few typical cases where he uses ISQ, such as immediate placement, patients with type 1 diabetes, and patients for whom a prior implant failed.
